Terms of Use
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Acceptance
By creating an account or using VoterContact.io (the “service”), you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use the service for an organization or campaign, you confirm you may bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
VoterContact is a voter file and field planning tool for campaigns: search, turf cutting, printed packets, call and text lists, plans and results. Sending texts, placing calls, voter-file sync with outside systems and similar features may be added later and may carry additional terms.
Accounts
Keep your sign-in secure and do not share it. You are responsible for activity under your account. Campaign administrators decide who has access to their campaign and which role each person holds.
Your data and your responsibilities
- You keep ownership of the data you upload. You give us permission to host and process it to provide the service.
- You confirm you have the right to upload each voter file and that your use of it complies with the file's license and the laws that apply to you, including limits on how voter and political data may be used in your state.
- You are responsible for the content you enter and for honoring do-not-contact and opt-out requests, and for complying with calling, texting, email and canvassing laws when you contact people.
- Do not share voter data outside your campaign except as the law and your file's license allow.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully; to harass, threaten or deceive people; to impersonate others; to upload malware; to try to gain access to another campaign's data or to the service's systems; to overload or scrape it abusively; or to resell or sublicense access without our written permission.
Volunteer links and event pages
Canvass links work only with the correct PIN and only for the turf they were issued for. Share a PIN only with the volunteer it is for. Event pages are public: anything a person submits to an RSVP form goes to the campaign that published the page.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. We may suspend access that violates these terms or puts the service or others at risk.
Ending your use
You may stop using the service at any time. A campaign administrator can delete a campaign and its data. See the Privacy Policy for what deletion removes.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Geocoding, map shapes, turf counts, plans and AI-built searches can contain errors. Check important results before you rely on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, VoterContact and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, votes or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
